Annual Memorial Mass:A Mass is celebrated in
memory of our deceased brother Knights. Widows and family are sent formal
invitations. The Mass begins with a procession of council members carrying
a lit candle and a white rose for each deceased member. A chair draped in
black with the name of each member is setup in front of the altar. When the
procession reaches the altar the rose is placed on the chair, the candle
extinquished and the members seated in a group at the front pews. Entrance song
and music by brother Knights. Regular Mass proceeds and after the Homily,
the recorder goes up and does roll call. He calls the name of each deceased
member twice. After the 2nd call, the warden says "absent" and flips a
black cloth covering the name. When roll call is completed, the Grand Knight
and the Program Dir. pass out the roses to the widows or family members
present. The Mass proceeds to a close and is followed by a reception to complete the
celebration.

Assisting Religious Education:Padre Serra Council #7114
of Glendale, Arizona is having a Pancake Breakfast on September 20, 1998 after the 8:30am and 10:30am Mass.
All proceeds will be given to the Religious Education program for Books, Material, and enrollment fee help.
