Hello, my name is Birdie Orrick I am very glad you came by to visit my pigeon
page. I have links to many different breeds of pigeons
or A pigeon club near you. Help Pages and Information. I do not have my pigeons any longer because of health reasons. I leave this page up for the ones that want to start flying them. If you have a link on this site that has a new address other than what I have please email me and let me know the new link I will update the link.
I donated my pigeons to the North Texas Roller Club. I did learn a great deal about Roller pigeons when I had them. I have also met many new friends
here on the internet. I was lucky to have met Kelton Parker of the North Texas Roller Club. The
club members went together and gave me twenty Rollers, they were all 1998 birds. Then I received two pair
of Rollers from my new friend Dave Henderson in Redding California for helping him with his web page.
What fun I had building a kit box and training them to trap even hitting the wrong nail several times was
worth it.
I did drive my
Roller friends crazy with questions, but every question was answered and they gave me great advice.
My pairs from Dave have 12 babys now and more on the way.
My 1998 birds were flying and spinning. I
tried to fly them every day. I had a 26 bird kit in the air and they are wonderful. It is hard for me to take any out they fly
so well together. I had two kits with all my 1999 birds. I miss my birds very much. I did keep
watching
and learning.
With the help of my friend's Dave Henderson of the Northern California Roller Club, Kelton Parker of the North Texas Roller Club,
Steve Clayton of the Central Arkansas Roller Club,
Gary Roberts,
Robert Raymond and Jon Lahman.
This is Jon's other page with wonderful information.
Roller Pigeon Loft and pictures of his portable kit boxes. This young lady is very knowledgeable about pigeons she has quite a few in her lofts her name is
Alisha Purdy.
Her pigeon page will tell you about genetics for the beginner.
I have also learned about Dragoons, English Carriers, and Scandaroons from my friend
Dan Bastian they are very interesting birds. Dan has a page all about how the English Carrier came to be. He is very kind to help me with so many problems and questions. Check out Dan's New page at fortunecity.
