On April 29, 2004, at 12:00 AM, a sudden death came as a great surprise to the loving family of Eugene Macon. He was born on Jan 16, 1951 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Julia Mae Taylor who preceded him in death and Alex Gant of Denver, Colorado. He accepted Christ at an early age and in his later years recommitted his life to Christ. He united with The Community of Faith under the leadership of Bishop James W.E. Dixon II where he served until his death. Eugene Macon attended the local high school in Hot Springs, Arkansas and joined the U. S. Army at the age of 17. He remained in the Army for 23 1/2 years and was highly decorated throughtout his career. He retired from the Army as a Sergeant First Class. During his early Army career, he met Patricia Robinson. They were married on December 25, 1975. To this union two children were born (Eric and Michelle), both reside in Houston. He received a BS degree in Business Management from Troy State University in Fort Benning, Georgia and his MBA in Business Management. In 1979, while serving his country, Sgt Macon joined the Masonic family while stationed in Germany, where he served and worked his way to Master Mason. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Patricia, and his two children and four grandchildren, his father Alex and a host of family, friends (everybody he met) and coworkers.
