Reverse Epiphany

There wasn't a specific trigger for this poem; I was merely experiencing some sort of poetic dementia. I admit the ending resulted from the back of my mind worrying about a paper I had to write about a beaver painting.
taken during the Tex-Mex party in Dessau, Germany--June 1999

Reverse Epiphany

daybreak
still enveloped by
Prozac dreams
serene in cocoon

daylight
unorchestrated motion
bonfusion and custle
just visiting

twilight
withered mind
emaciation of spirit
self-withdrawal

no light
blind mind
unseeing heart
but corporally unbound

daybreak
Rinse.
Repeat.
Titles are only part of the whole.
