Frameless are a better choice for those wanting more room especially in the drawers and pull out shelves.

Framed are a better choice for those who don't need to worry about room and who want the frame to show between the doors.

Frameless cabinet doors attach to the wall of the cabinet giving you full access to the contents of the cabinet with no face frame.

framed cabinet doors attach to the frame, and pull out shelves must clear this frame giving you less usable space.

Inset doors are a form of framed cabinets where the doors actually fit INTO the frame rather than being attached ON TOP of the frame.
