How do I Jump From Sample to Sample?

The easiest way to jump from sample to sample is probably by using the provided "next" and "back" buttons that are linked on the page of each sample.

If you happen to get an error message while trying to go from page to page, first try the "refresh" button on your browser, if you are still having trouble with getting the page to display click the "back" button and try going through the "next" link again.

If you get another error page, please report all errors to me whitmore@ev1.net so I can contact the server and attempt to have the corrected a.s.a.p.

Images Take Forever to Download

This web site is a "graphics heavy site" for those of us that are veteran web browsers we all know that mean, sit back, relax, kick out feet up, pop in a video, make a little dinner, and leave the computer alone to download the mountains of images through the net.

There is nothing more that can be done to compress the images on this web site anymore with out loosing the quality of the image. And since we must recognize these samples on sight loosing the quality of our images just isn't acceptable.

If you are frustrated because your images won't load, try looking to see what speed your server is running at. 26K is the slowest, 56K is a step up from there (and what I personally use), Cable (what the SJC uses), and DSL (the fastest and every web hounds dream).

If your still having trouble and none of the above have answered your questions, the only alternative is to hit the "stop" button on  your browser, and then the "refresh" button.

 The Pictures/Graphics are too Dark?

Graphics, especially photographs are the hardest thing to get exactly perfect so they show on everyone's computer/monitor perfectly. So my suggestion for too dark/too bright pictures is to adjust your monitor resolution. You can change the color of the graphics by making your computer screen resolution brighter or darker.

It's just impossible to accommodate everyone's taste when it comes to graphics. I've tested all the graphics out on numerous computers and found that laptop and older machines always display the images darker then what they actually are. While newer computers and larger computer monitors display the images perfectly (probably because I work with and use a fairly new computer).

I Can't Get This One Image to Display ?

If your having trouble with just a couple of images. Never fear there is something very simple that you can do in order to make those problems images display. If you place your mouse cursor directly over the image, right click, and scroll down to "show picture" the image should slowly start to display.

But be careful, you CAN'T use this "show image" trick on a dozen images with the hope of all of them displaying faster. It just won't work that way.

Nothing Works!!!!!!

If nothing is working and your having a lot of trouble, and you've read through all this. Well then I'm going to do you a favor as say call me 281-930-1330 is my home number. But I'm also on campus most of the day and can be reached as extension 2048. But if both those options fail and your still pulling your hair out, email me, and I promise I'll get back to you just as soon as I possibly can whitmore@ev1.net
