We are open Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m until 12:00 Noon.
Weekly Activities include: Table games, (such as 42, and cards), a quilting group, exercise group, study groups line dancing, singing group, and bowling group.
Monthly activities include: Potluck luncheon, covered dish dinner, bingo, movies day trips.
Dues are $15.00 per year. Dues for 2006 must be paid by the end of February in order for your membership to stay active. Our $15.00 a year membership fee is the best deal in town.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in suggesting new activities and volunteering in the day to day operation.
Bastrop Senior Center is totally funded and operated by volunteers and community support.

A Newsletter of the Bastrop Community Senior Center is sent out once a month, and shows the monthly calendar along with other tidbits. The newsletter is called the Senior Scoop and the editor is B. J. Tondre.

Third Thursday of the Month Covered Dish Dinner at 5:30.

The American Cancer Society's Dialogue Support Group comes to Bastrop. The group is designed to help cancer patients, their family and friends to better understand and learn to live with cancer. There is no charge to attend the dialogue program.
This is a support group for caregivers, families, and spouses of Alzheimer patients. We meet on the 2nd Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.
The quilting group meets each Monday morning at 9 a.m.
The Wednesday morning Spiritual Pilgrims is a lively group whose members love to explore new ideas. The group is led my Mary Ann Hare. Buying the book is not required, and if you want just to come and listen, that is fine. The group invites anyone interested to attend. Meetings are Wednesday Mornings from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the back room.
