Metal type music

Sample Track 1 - This piece is inspired a lot by the Castlevania SotN soundtrack. It started as another experiment to see what I could do with the first melody. (keyboard was first) Then I kept on hearing more and more stuff. Then in the middle of composing it my friend introduced me to a very damn talented musician named Vanessa Mae. I just could not get it out of my head and somehow, what was a mysterious dark sounding metal song erupts into a much happier song! I really wanted to change it at first but then after hearing it a few dozen times I now accept it as is. Hope you like number one of three!

Sample Track 2 - My friends and I call this one "The nine minute wonder" (Sarcastically) Because it is one of the only pieces I've completed. All except for vocals. I know kind of what I want (lyric wise) I know how and where I want it done but, I cant sing for jack!!! I am thinking of changing the solo in the middle. I believe I can do better than that. (Around the time of 5:13 in the song to 5:28) But, I need to get that  darn portastudio back and working again! I also would like  a female singer to sing at 3:37 (into the song) to 4:14. This is probably my most thought out piece so far. It took a lot of time and a lot of thought.

Sample Track 3 - I surprisingly had this song almost all planned out from beginning to end (end should probably be in quotes) in my head before I recorded it. (Guitar and drum wise. Keyboards were added later, but I had a good idea what I wanted.) Its funny, I think I finally established a direction in music which I could go...and then.....my darn Roland! BUTKUS!!! It just ruins it all! It is kind of good in a way because I get to practice more guitar now, but I really rather be composing! I have the tablature for this one in the tab section already. Or you can just click Here

Sample Track 4 and Sample Track 4.5 (:P) - I was bored and decided to solo over some incomplete songs that I have on my computer. I found one that I was having a lot of fun with so I decided to record a few takes. This is what came of it. Tell me which one you like the best! They're basically the same, but what is different is muuuuch different. Also I was thinking... *scratches chin* This is kind of a guitar site right?! And well.... yeah... I have almost no songs with serious guitar in it posted! MONKEYS! JUST MONKEYS! :P So anyhoo... I plan to get more guitar music up later, just be patient :D.

Sample Track 5 - Finally! A new metal piece! woohoo! its been ages! Man, this ones pretty far out! Crazy time sigs and some nifty key changes, still needs some polishing though :|, All the sections sound respectively nice and full, but as far as flowing from one to the other I believe that some could flow a bit better. But OMG OMG! You will not believe it! This one is freakin almost 8 minutes, and its not close to being done yet.... pretty crazy huh! (If youve been keeping up with my stuff, you know how rare it is for me to get more than a 2 minute song, lol) Ok, now we go into some of the questions you guys might have about it..... Whats up with the guitar... yeah, I know I know its coming.... The guitar is not actually a real guitar, its midi, Thats why it sounds kinda funny. (Im using a kick ass soundfont, so dont let that discourage you from downloading it!!!) and... ok, and the second question thats probably going to come up, why the crappy sound quality?! Im runnin out of room on the site, so I had to make it small :(. Maybe I'll post a good quality one up later on another site or something. It sounds nice nice in cd-quality :D. Hope you guys enjoy!  Please feel free to contact me with questions or comments good or bad!

Metal metal metal!!!! I will never outgrow my metal roots, I will always have a heart for metal music. Rhapsody, Nightwish, Dream Theater (I know they're not really metal.... )and the one of the best songs that feature a wonderful distorted guitar: Michiru Yamane's composition "The Tragic Prince." No matter where I end up in the music world, these bands/songs will always be awesome to me.  I do wish the United States was a bit more open to metal, I would definitely push for more metal tunes but, unfortunately, there's only a handful of people who like and respect this "fantasy" metal genre. *Sigh* oh well..... I'll still keep rockin out! *Cranks up Metropolis*

Those nice old days : - )
