St. Louis, Missouri, Show 5

As usual, I'm just a tad depressed at this point because I know it's the last show. Thankfully we have Texas to look forward to. And Coleen and Brendaly ended up sitting beside us on the front row for this one. YAY!

"House of the Rising Sun"

"Moments of You". I believe it was during this song, Scott does that little hip thrust thingy...OMG! I literally said (quite loudly) "oh he's got to STOP!" Brendaly was laughing. Bad Scott, bad. Do it again...*G*

Scott talked about how this is the last show, making everyone go "aw..." He talked about Missourians Scott: "Is that what you are? Missourians? Missourites? Miserables? Just kidding. What are you called Missourians?" *no answer* "Does anybody know?" Finally a man said, "You were right." Scott: "I was right! Bing Bong!"

Then Scott showed us how they put it together, starting with Jeff. Then they teased us by singing just a bit of "Off My Mind". Sounded a bit different than on "Smilin'" but I just KNOW they're working it up for a later show. Maybe TEXAS? *G* Scott: "I've had people say to me after the show 'maybe you didn't realize that there was a drum and bass behind you. I said, 'I would have realized that."

"Here Comes the Sun"

"Love Potion Number 9" During "I started kissin' everything in sight" Kev came and sang to me where I proceeded to make "kissy face" at him. Krik: "Did you "Kissy face" him? Me: "Yep." LOVE the guitars!!!!

El talked about this day being the 40th anniversary of the Beatles performing on the Ed Sullivan show and how that was the latest he'd ever stayed up. His mom let him come watch it with everyone else. *G* El started talking about how everything in St. Louis is named for Louis and Clark. "Lewis and Clark Museum. The Lewis and Clark Opera, and the plant? The Lewis and Clark Plant Exhibit? Which I really don't fully understand unless it's the plants they collected on their way west. Scott: "It's the plants the saw or COULD have seen on their way. At least that's what the guide said." El: "Then there's the Lewis and Clark Mule Train Exhibit. Have you seen that? No, they don't have that. Did they have a mule train? What did they have?" Scott: "They had Sacajawea." El: "So this next song is in honor of Louis and Clark, and St. Louis..." Scott: "You don't think St. Louis is named for..." El: "No I think Louie...French..." Kev: "Louie Armstrong?" Someone in the audience told them it was named after Louie 19th. El: "Thank you. And WE were on a geography game show. We know absolutely nothing.

"Let's Get Away" Best line: "Let's grab a mule train to St. Louis or Nayak." HUH?

"This Isn't Love"

Kev: "I'm sad. This is our last show. Boo Boo Boo..."

"Have Faith"

"Rockapella's Greatest Hit" Jeff: "No pictures please." Just as he said that, Krik was taking a pic. He got SO tickled. She snapped it just as he tried NOT to laugh. *G* Cutie.

El talked about "WITWICS", "But we don't do that song anymore because...well we just don't." *aw...that's sad.* El: "Okay. We'll do it...later."

"Don't Do It" This time Coleen got to rub El's head. *G*

"Long Cool Woman In a Black Dress"

Kev: "Elliott. She's here. She's here." Kev walks down to the audience..."Oh you're HERE." The next victim is Emily. Again, I think she was a first-timer. Kev: "So what's your name?" Emily: "Emily." Kev: "Emily. I really didn't think you were going to make it. I was like..She's not going to make it! So I was freakin' out a little bit." *looks at the others* "Cause I didn't think she was going to make it. Then I thought. No, she wouldn't miss that. Who's that guy you were with back there? I didn't invite him? What's his name?" Emily: "Alex." Kev: "Does he have any signifigance?" Emily: "He's my boyfriend." Kev: "Okay. *puts his arm around her and challenges* Alex. Did you think I poured coffee on my shirt (you know what shirt I'm talking about)? I didn't. It's just like that." Kev kinda let the jacket fall off his shoulder. Scott: "Hey. No costume malfunctions." Kev: "George sometimes cries during this song. He's just a big softy. George can we sing this?" George *thinking*: "Okay." Kev: "Oh Emily. You can dump that old Alex. You don't need him here no mo' no mo' no mo'" Scott: "No mo'"

"Pretty Woman" George "Emmy Emmy Emmy"

George: "Do ya'll wanna hear some more? Sometimes when I'm up here singing and I see all your faces, I start to get real nervous. I'm up here singing going "doom doom doom"...yeah, I'm the "doom doom" guy. I was sitting here thinkin' the other day, 'Man, I got a high school degree. I got a COLLEGE degree. And here I am standin' up here doing the "doom dooms". I need to sing some words up in this place." He told us that he had a degree in "Vocal Performance" and I studied classical music. "Anybody here like classical music?" *cheers* Jeff (in the background): "It SUCKS!" George: "The guys in the back are saying 'That stuff sucks!'" He said people told him should go on Broadway and go to auditions and sing *he sang a bit of it* "Old Man River". George: "Man I am so TIRED of singing that song." Then he sang a bit of opera. I'm not an opera fan at all, but George can certainly sing. It was beautiful. George: "So I said, you know I'm from the old school. I want to sing songs like by the Temptations." And the lady said, "well you know, maybe you ought to get into Rockapella."

"Papa Was a Rolling Stone"

"Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego"

They did "I'll Hear Your Voice" I did NOT expect this. This was absolutely beautiful! All four of us were crying by the end of it. *sniff* Don't EVER do that again....

Next was "Zombie" and as usual Scott got WAY out of hand. He started bouncing around like he was on a pogo stick. I don't know how he didn't hurt himself.

They came back out to a second encore. This time the did "Tempted". Scott: "Jeff Thacher sing your song." Jeff: "I said it's no occasion to sing." har har. At then end when they walked off the stage, they kept singing and came walking back out on stage backward. Very cool. Scott was doing the moonwalk...sort of. *G*

Another suprise: "Ellie My Love" YAY! Krik was a puddle of goo during the beginning "uh, uh's" by Jeff.

They ended with "Keep Smilin'"

Oh I'm going to miss these boys! *sniff*
