We are here to help those that are seeking comfort to adjusting to every day life as an amputee! As amputees ourselves we feel that we are the best therapy that any amputee can provide to one another!! We want our fellow amputees to know the facts about amputations so lives can be led more productive and satisfying and so no one is pushed aside or hidden in the dark as the medical profession has seen fit to do to us. As amputees we need information we can understand and a helping hand from some one who has already walked a mile or two in a prosthetic to help guide us through times that are difficult and seem unbearable as well. We are not only helping the amputee deal with the amputation but also self worth and self esteem! We want to provide guidance for a happier, healthier future! A special thank you to a guest speaker during our May meeting!! Terry Fletcher from Advanced Mobility! He came to our meeting and spoke for the entire meeting discussing modification of a vehicle to our group! Many guestions were asked and answered and Terry did a wonderful presentation, he also offered to come back for another meeting in the future once our group has grown and become larger!! Thank You so much Terry for a job well done and for such wonderful hospitality!!

Disc Golf with Randy Mecca
We would like to thank Randy Mecca for coming to our September amputee support group meeting and speaking about disc golf. Randy is a single above knee amputee and has been one for over 40 years he became involved in disc golf and is now teaching other disabled individuals the sport as well. There is an event coming up in October take a look at the website. Thank you for speaking for us and teaching us the sport Randy, keep up the great job you are doing!!! Tarrant Amputee Network would like to thank College Park Industries (CPI) for all the educational material that they provided for our support group! One member of CPI went out of her way to provide our group with Posters, booklets, dvd's, vcr tapes, coloring books and tatoos of the truper heroes and of trustep information for our members to learn about their products! We have been in need of educational material like this, and are still in need of educational material, however, CPI has come through with helping out and we would like to thank them!! Ohio Willow Wood has been in business almost 100 years now. They are known for many different products. As a member of Tarrant Amputee Network, I would like to personally thank OWW for the alpha liner that has finally made a difference in my personal struggle as an amputee. With out finding this liner, I didn't know if I would ever be successful with my prosthetic. Now I am able to put on the prosthetic and actually begin to walk again for the first time in 2 years. That is my personal Thank You OWW.

""Life With Out Limitations"" What a great way to think. Ossur has many great products and because of their donation of booklets, videos, posters and such we are able to learn about those wonderful products that Ossur has to offer our fellow amputees.
