Magician force: part two:
Now I wrote the last article with all my judgments now I will go through all of the most popular and best cards in the new set I will explain what they do how they work and when to use then.
card # 1
Dark magician girl
MFC-000 Dark Magician Girl
Dark/Spellcaster/Effect Lvl. 6 – Secret Rare
2000/1700
Increase the ATK of this monster by 300 points for each “Dark Magician” or
“Magician of Black Chaos” in either player’s Graveyard.
Well as you can see this card is really only for
a spell caster deck that plays the cards that power it up. I really do not know
why this card was the secret rare but oh well. Any ways the 300 point
increase is not worth the trouble why not use a better equipment cards like axe
of despair. Or better yet how about no one use this card at all. lol. But if you
are serous about making a dark magician deck then I would play like one of these
two or three is to much because you will never have more than 3 dark magicians
or magician of black chaos in the grave yard so the most it can be powered up to
is 3800 good for one tribute if they are in there. I guess if you are serious
about this deck type you could play a couple of these. I give it a 2/5 in the
right deck. This would be more playable if it were no sacrifices and like 1900
or something. Most cards in this new set have a couple problems one or two and
they would be perfect but if it were "perfect" then it would ruin the game good
cards are balanced, or people abuse them.
Next cards I will do are
MFC-004 X-Head Cannon
Light/Machine Lvl. 4 – Super Rare
1800/1500
“A monster with a mighty cannon barrel, it is able to integrate its attacks. It
attacks in many ways by combining and separating with other monsters.”
MFC-005 Y-Dragon Head
Light/Machine/Union Lvl. 4 – Super Rare
1500/1600
Once per turn during your Main Phase, if you control this monster on the field,
you can equip it to your “X-Head Cannon” as an Equip Spell-Card OR change it
back to a monster in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this
card’s effect, that monster’s ATK/DEF is increased by 400 points. (1 monster can
only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the monster that this card
is equipped to is destroyed in battle this card is destroyed instead.)
MFC-006 Z-Metal Tank
Light/Machine/Union Lvl. 4 – Super Rare
1500/1300
Once per turn during your Main Phase, if you control this monster on the field,
you can equip it to your “X-Head Cannon” or “Y-Dragon Head” as an Equip
Spell-Card OR change it back to a monster in face-up Attack Position. When
equipped to a monster by this card’s effect, that monster’s ATK/DEF is increased
by 600 points. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time.
If the monster that this card is equipped to is destroyed in battle this card is
destroyed instead.)
The reason I did all three is because they fuse
and are similar I guess. Well the y and z have a weird type effect which I will
explain. Well the effect pretty much means that you can equip on or the other to
each the like a equipment card and raise the attack by 400 point. But the good
thing is if your opponent kills the monster that the the card is equip to then
the equipment card is then destroyed instead of the card/monster. This thing is
good but not all it is cracked up to be. I guess you could go and make a deck
totally based around it. And they would not be to bad in a machine deck. If you
use it with limited removal it will not die the card equip to it will. These
would be more playable if all were 1800 or 1900. I give them a 3/5 in a machine
deck and a 2/5 in a regular deck because you will not get the advantage of the
effect and I believe that the reason for this is so when people use limited
removal or I guess there are other reason I just cannot think of. I think you
kind of need to have it in the right deck.
Next is :
MFC-012 Giant Orc
Dark/Fiend/Effect Lvl. 4 – Common
2200/0
When this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the
Battle Phase. This position cannot be changed until the end of your next turn.
This card I think is great it is so versatile I mean you could use it for a beatdowns as it kills all of the rest or the popular ones except goblin. This card is like a clone balanced. They took away 100 points and sped the defensive change a little but the best part is the thing is a common and being a fiend is not bad as you could put it in a fiend deck. I give this a 4/5
Next one is:
MFC-020 Spell Canceller
Wind/Machine/Effect Lvl. 5 – Ultra Rare
1800/1600
As long as this card remains face-up on the field, all Spell Cards cannot be
activated. The effects of all face-up Spell Cards are also negated.
This has got to be one of my favorites in the
set it stop magics an imperial order in monster form that is so cool. I
think many people will try to get this one. This with jinzo stops everything but
monsters and if you are prepared for it you could win just because of that one
factor. I am sure it will be restricted to one or maybe two at first and then
one after that. The main reason I see that would make it unrestricted is the one
tribute for such a low monster but balance is what makes yu-gi-oh so cool.
next is:
MFC-024 Great Phantom Thief
Earth/Spellcaster/Effect Lvl. 3 – Rare
1000/1000
Each time this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent’s Life Points,
declare the name of 1 card. Then see your opponent’s hand and discard all copies
of the declared card in his/her hand to the Graveyard.
This is actual a really good card I mean if you use it right. If this thing had a higher attack it would be so much better but I guess that would make very card a little better. Any ways this is good for a combo like if you use forceful and you know they have yata riageki or those staple you know are going to screw you up. Best to call magic's because people do not set magic's. The low attack makes it stink.
Next is:
MFC-026 Paladin of White Dragon
Light/Dragon/Ritual/Effect Lvl. 4 - Ultra Rare
1900/1200
This monster can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card “White
Dragon Ritual”. You must also offer monsters whose total Level Stars equal 4 or
more as a Tribute from the field or your hand. When this monster attacks a
face-down Defense Position monster, destroy the face-down monster immediately
with this card’s effect without flipping it face-up or damage calculation. You
can Special Summon 1 “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” from your hand or your deck by
offering this card as a Tribute during your Main Phase. (Blue-Eyes White Dragon
cannot attack that turn.
This card is actual ok. I think I might try to get this card in a multiple of three and play a blue eyes deck and when the ultimate comes out I will kick but. I could see this thing in a light deck to. This thing is going to be an under rated card until a good layer shows the idiots how to play it and then everyone will want it. Also people who pull it will try to stick in a beatdowns you now the kind of people who cannot or do not want to but Gemini elf or any of the other will try to make a ritual dragon deck with this with a whole bunch of rituals hey I think that might be cool. But really in a dragon or a light or a plain blue eyes deck this will be quite good. Will anyone like it? maybe a couple of kids but it will not be on the restrict list at least I think it won't.
Next card
MFC-029 Demotion
Equip Spell Card – Common
Downgrade the monster equipped with this card by 2 Levels.
This is only a common but it think it might actually be good. I bought a pack and stumbled upon it. If you play a deck with gravity bind and then equip it to a card then I can see some true potential for this card. There just are not many uses except to attack under a gravity bind with a high monster but it is still worth trying if you play a clown control or good to side deck if you go up against a deck with gravity bind in it.
next card:
MFC-032 Autonomous Action Unit
Equip Spell Card – Common
Pay 1500 Life Points. Select 1 Monster Card from your opponent’s Graveyard.
Special Summon it on your side of the field in face-up Attack Position, and
equip it with this card. When this card is destroyed or removed from the field,
the equipped monster is destroyed.
This could be pretty good if you are not low on
life points and they have a jinzo or something. I am going to try this baby out.
This could be good but 1500 is a heavy price. There really is not much to say
except it is a monster reborn mixed with premature burial and is that a good
thing I do not know but the 1500 truly kill allot of power the card c could have
had. But it is only common so it should not cost you to much finding it will be
hard scents it has just been released.
Next card:
MFC-035 Dark Core
Spell Card – Rare
Discard 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard to remove 1 face-up Monster Card
on the field from play.
This is a good card I mean think about it it
kills jinzo and all of those other good card except yata. And it also removes it
from play. And only rare cool. I wish it were quick play. This may be on the
restricted list if upper deck looks at how much can be done with it. I am going
to try one out if I can get it and if I do not like it I will ditch it.
Next card:
MFC-039 Tribute Doll
Spell Card – Rare
Activate this card by offering a monster on your side of the field as a Tribute.
Special Summon 1 Level 7 monster from your hand. That monster cannot attack this
turn.
This card is one of my favorites it is called the card that makes dark magician playable. Kind of a powered up version of soul exchange. It was made for the dark magician. But hink of all you can summon with out tributing. But when you think of it jinzo and dark ruler hades cannot be summoned scents they are six.
next card:
MFC-058 Luster Dragon
Wind/Dragon Lvl. 4 – Ultra Rare
1900/1600
“A very beautiful dragon covered with Sapphire. It does not like fights, but has
incredibly high attack power.”
This card is also a versatile card because of
the 3 deck types it goes into perfecty.
One deck is beatdowns which will be the most commonly used deck.
Next is wind.
Then is a dragon.
Well I think he best would be a beatdowns or a dragon. Dragon decks are becoming pretty good with this set. And 1800 monsters are obsolete with this set. Try it I am getting 3 for my beatdowns and the best part is no side effect no switch to defensive mode.
next card:
MFC-064 Skilled White Magician
Light/Spellcaster/Effect Lvl. 4 – Super Rare
1700/1900
Each time you or your opponent activates 1 Spell Card, put 1 Spell Counter on
this card (MAX 3). You can Special Summon 1 “Buster Blader” from your hand,
deck, or Graveyard in face-up Attack or Defense Position by offering this
monster with 3 Spell Counters as a Tribute during your Main Phase.
Well? how do you like it allot of these cards
make it so buster bladers and dark magician can bet out faster which is a good
thing. So when your opponent used 3 magic's you get to summon a buster blader
from you hand deck or graveyard. I like it. If I had allot of money I would make
so many different decks. This set bring speed to summonings of the dark magician
as well as buster blader and you will se why if you do not already know.
next card:
MFC-065 Skill Dark Magician
Dark/Spellcaster/Effect Lvl. 4 – Super Rare
1900/1700
Each time you or your opponent activates 1 Spell Card, put 1 Spell Counter on
this card (max 3). You can Special Summon 1 “Dark Magician” from your hand,
Deck, or Graveyard in face-up Attack or Defense Position by offering this
monster with 3 Spell Counters as a Tribute during your Main Phase.
Same thing as the one above but it is 1900 and
no sacs.
So you could use it in an all dark magician deck or a spell caster deck. Or if you are looking to get dark paladin out three of these and three skilled white magicians would be a good idea I think don't you?
next card:
MFC-068 Chaos Command Magician
Light/Spellcaster/Effect Lvl. 6 – Ultra Rare
2400/1900
Negate the effect of a Monster Card that specifically designates this 1 card as
a target.
You could think about putting this in a spell
caster deck but with all of the tributes in that type of deck one more is not
going to help. And the only monster's effect this is going to stop is probably
man eater bug or penguin soldier. But in a light deck this might help a bit.
next card:
MFC-076 Tribe-Infecting Virus
Water/Aqua/Effect Lvl. 4 – Super Rare
1600/1000
Discard 1 card from your hand and declare 1 type of monster to destroy all
face-up monsters of the declared Type on both sides of the field.
God I love this card and yes I am going to play
it because I already have it. What it does is you discard from your hand your
turn or you opponent's turn and you say the type of a monster dark, light,
fiend, or whatever and all monster with that sub-type are destroyed even yours
so be careful. It kills any monster but it could kill yours if you call a
monster that is on both sides of the field. So if you want to kill a jinzo say
dark and then it is destroyed along with any dark monster you have on your side
of the field. I know it is going to be on the list of restrictions for this set.
next card:
|
"The other secret rare"
Well this card was only made for one reason and that is for spell casters level 7 or higher. Or a dark magician and a few others. So what it does if I am not mistaken is give a spell caster level 7 or higher the ability to attack all your opponents and no effects so it is the the dark ruler ha des mixed with an asura preist cool ? Only if you have a spell caster deck.
next card:
MFC-106 Double Spell
Spell Card – Ultra Rare
Discard 1 Spell Card from your hand. Select 1 Spell Card from your opponent’s
Graveyard and activate it from the Graveyard as your Spell Card.
So what this card does is it makes you discard a magic/spell card and then you can use one out of your opponents graveyard. So it is good but you got to wait till they have something you can benefit from like any of the staples or something. I would side deck one. I guess you could play one in your main deck but unless they have something game breaking I do not like discarding cards. But I still think it is good.
Next card:
MFC-105 Dark Paladin
Dark/Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect Lvl. 8 – Ultra Rare
2900/2400
“Dark Magician” + “Buster Blader”
This monster can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon. As long as this card
remains face-up on the field, you can negate the activation of 1 Spell Card and
destroy the Spell Card by discarding 1 card from your hand. The ATK of this card
increases by 500 points for each Dragon-Type monster on the field and in either
Graveyard.
Well no doubt this can be a good card in the right deck. But in a spell caster deck with so many combos this will just make it not to mention take up more room with a couple of polymerizations. But if you do manage to get it out what the effect is every time your opponent uses a magic/spell card you can negate it by discarding a card from their hand. And also it gains 500 attack for every dragon in the field or graveyard. But the first effect of discarding a card to stop a magic give the person controlling the monster a great advantage over you. I like it but to "balance" it upper deck made it a fusion that really took the cake.
Now I am done. And yes there are many more good cards left I did not do but I only did the ones I think have a chance of even being played. If you have more cards that you want me to review for you email me at ilovepojo@hotmail.com and tell me.
