Rant on stealing
Hello All,
I would like to give you a view to what happened to me. Recently, I was
involved in a contract (trade) with a certain person online, and guess what? I
got ripped off. Sure, I wanted to send him to the shadow realm, but I had to
keep my cool. Instead I did a little research in my Business Law class, and
look what I found. A misrepresentation of fraud (fraudulent misrepresentation =
whenever a party deliberately doesn't fill their part of the contract) can
result in a suit, a rather big one. First they have to pay you back for the
manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) then they have to pay punitive
damages (damage resulting from the fraud) up to one million dollars! Then, they
could have to spend up to two years behind bars, and when they are let out,
probation for up to another year. Wow. And I thought I was screwed..... The
only downside to this is that you must have proof of contract.....got a
printer? Looks like my short end of the bargain will turn into a big*** problem
for them.
My final word: Yes, you may be able to get that stupid Gemini elf, but I may
get 50 bucks plus you will cook for 2 years. And to the cheaters: You suck at
life.
