Learning to Read Your
Opponents Actions:
While dueling, you should always
watch your opponents body language.
Sometimes I can guess what a person has in their hand (if I am familiar with
their
deck) by the actions they make. I can think of no other way but to make a list
of what you can look for to help you.
If your opponent is...
Smiling: He just pulled a card to counter you/he thought of a plan
Biting his lip: He knows he is in trouble and is trying to find a counter
strategy
Tapping his feet/fingers: He is anticipating you to do something, such as
summon or play a m/t. He has a strategy, but requires you to do something to
trigger it.
Squinting/rubbing chin: He has/is thinking of a combo, but isn't sure if it
will work.
Starts crying: You've won
Starts laughing hysterically: You've lost
The last two were crappy examples, but the best way to find out ways people
react is to examine yourself while you duel, or have a friend watch you and
write down what you do when you pull a good or bad move. It takes time to
learn,
but if you have a poker background, it will come naturally to you. You may
overlook this hint, but if you learn to read body language correctly, it makes
more of an impact on a duel that you could possibly imagine. In return, you
must always keep a straight face, hold still, and never look your opponent in
the eye (unless your trying to bluff). Try it, learn it, love it. Trust me,
it works.
