Witch of the Black Forest

Dark/Spellcaster/4/1100/1200/Effect

when this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard you can move one monster with 1500 or less DEF from your deck to hand. Then the deck is shuffled.

Greg's Review:

Just really an all out popular card. Though I DO NOT believe in staple monsters this is almost as close as it gets seriously when you get this effect if you make a very smart and skilled choice it could very easily win you the game or give you some high advantage over your opponent. Depending on what your opponent does or does not have on the field you can make a choice and get what you need. For about a month last year I didn't play witch Sangan or nothing. I did ok but not as good. It is true what I an others say one card makes the difference and this card give you two. Getting a card at all is advantage but getting almost every popular monster out there is insane. I cannot believe that at one time this was not restricted along with Sangan. I do not know what the game was truly like until around this May but I have heard and Exodia was very overplayed and for a good reason. But for any deck I can think of this will almost always never be a bad card to get. A lot of the time believe it or not the card someone gets VIA witch wins them the game all hands down.  The power to get what you need when you need it is very good. This IMO is a monster semi staple. Well that really did not make any scents with me contradicting my self but really this should be played and abused.

Pro's

easy to get

easy to use

get advantage

Con's

it has to be sent to the graveyard

has to have less than 1500 DEF to get it via witch

Overall:

do you ever wish you had any monster in your deck at a certain given time. Well me too so play this.

Tourney 4/5

Casual 4.5/5

Draft 5/5

Japan 4.2/5

Earl's  Review:

So many monsters to pick from, high ATK monsters are the main choice, such as most Level 4 monsters, Summoned Skull, Earl of Demise, even Jackal.

4.5/5

Knocked out's Review:

  Pros and Cons first

Pros:
Sanganable and Tomatoable
Dark
Can pull lots of monster: Vampire, fiber, jinzo, cyber, spear, GAF, serpent, and soooo much more
just has to be sent to the graveyard by any means

Cons:
weaker stats
can't get every monster

This, imo, is actually a staple in any deck.  Really ask yourself this, when have you ever seen a competative deck never run this?  Many people really believe that there are monster staples, but i do.  I believe that Witch, sangan and sinister serpent are all staples cus they can go in any deck.  Sangan is more debatable but we'll talk about him when i review him
Now witch is very good.  It can pull you many things that could end the game right there, of course if your near the end of the game.  Really, i never see a deck without it.  It pulls to much.  With less people on the defence now and days and more on the attack, you can see why this was restricted to one a while back.  Plus Exodia relly on this gal a lot.  So really, their is no reason to play this.  It's just too good.

Casual- 4
Tourney-  4.9
Draft- 5 ( if you pass this, you deserve to get pimp slapped) sorry but true

Conclusion-  This evil witch is mighty nice =/

Knocked out, signing out, peace out

This is THE best searcher out their, and as close to a monster staple that you can get. For a couple good searches are: Jinzo, Yata, T-Virus, Breaker, Kycoo (i guess? =/ *shrugs*), Etc. This card belongs in EVERY deck. JUST PLAY HER! I give the best searcher their is a:
Tourney: 5.0
Draft: 4.5
Casual: 4.8

Robert's Review:

Can u say staple??? I don't believe in staples... But dang... This card is a staple if it is anything else... U can bring a Mon. with 1500 def. or less from ur deck when it dies... How convienent<<<can't spell... I think this card has helped my deck out, even more than Raigeki... This card has sooooo much potential!!! Bring out your Jinzo<<<Fav. mon, or V-lord, or, Lily...(My deck...) But I think that u can do so much with this monster... I love it... U can bring out almost any monster to gain monster advantage... I say u'd be a fool not to play it... Unless u don't need it...(And u will...) But over all I give this card a 4.5/5 if it doesn't get removed from play...

Well that's it for me for 2day...(Probably it for the rest of the week...)

Peace...

Keith's Review:

One word, broken. This card is simply amazing in basically any deck because if you look at other's decks, or yours, not too many cards have 1500+ def. This card is one of the most useful cards in the game, along with the 7 staples. Searching for any monster in your deck is just an AMAZING benefit. The only ways to stop this card are(well, that are good to run, anyway) Nobleman of Crossout, Ha Des, and some others that aren't incredibly deckworthy

This card or sangan vs. skill drain. Since Witch/Sangan's effect happens in the graveyard, skill drain has no effect on these little buggers.

Overall 4.7 just because if it's removed from play, the effect doesn't work

Chase's Review:

Intro: What a bi....witch.

Staple card, should be included in every deck even a light deck. Seriously, this card pulls out any monster with an attack of 1500 or less. There are a lot of Monsters out there people love to pull out i.e. Archfiend Soldier, Gemini Elf, Kycoo, all of which could hit your opponent hard. No doubt this card is good in all situations. Need a card? Monster Reborn it back, Call of the Haunted, or Premature Burial and tribute it. Get the monster you need, and hit hard. I give this card a 4.5 out of 5.

Mikhail Kroik's Review:

Do I have to say more one of the best card in the game. Gives you all the best monsters to your hand. or if you have already good mobsters you can take Injection or a good effect monster that could later help you. I'll give it a 4/5
