Greg's Review:

Well seriously this never saw much play occasionally it would be in a newbie's deck cause Yugi had it. But really it ain't that playable. I mean seriously unless you are running a Scientist deck I wouldn't run this. It is a Tribute and that slows it down and the effect is not all that devastating unless you Opponent is very low on life and even then it is not that good. You figure you do 1/2 the damage as the monster you tribute for this guy , and when it comes down to him even a Blue-eyes white dragon will only do a measly 1500 damage. But with the Scientist combo this is playable and there and only in that type of deck.

Pro's

does damage

combo with the Scientist

Con's

hard to get-at least for me being a super from MRD- no stores really sell it as a single

hard to summon- 1 tribute

easily killed-only 2000 Defense

Overall- only play this if you are playing a Sci deck and only in there

Tourney- .05/5 - this is with out playing scientist

Tourney- with Scientist- 4/5 - base of combo

Casual 1/5

Draft 2/5

Spirit Reaper's Review:

Once again, ive found myself being incredibly late with articles and such.  I am guaranteeing some writing this weekend though.  Heres Fridays card, if thats ok.

Friday
Catapult Turtle

Before I say anything, I want to apologize for my absence recently.  Ive had school, and I recently joined a band, but I am still dedicated to Bakura's Lair so I'm stickin with it.  On to the review.
Catapult Turtle is quite old (MRD days).  I never found a great use for it, other than the Cannon Soldier for high attack decks.  Usually at best you were only hitting your opponent with 1500 damage from its effect, considering you threw a 3000 attacker at it.  It is also a very vulnerable card to attack.  If you play it in attack, it WILL NOT survive.  It fares much better in defence mode, but if you normal summon it, it has to be placed face down, therefor wont get its effect until put face up.  The only way to get it in face up defence (without playing it in attack and switching it) it had to be attacked, and rarely do people attack a card face down that was sacrafice summoned.  The only true way to get this out effectively was by special summon, but more often than not, you want to special something that will do more damage than this little thing.  It was reborn with the release of Magical Scientist, but now that MS is restricted, he is loosing all play what so ever.  Thats pretty sad because that deck had such potential.  I rarely see any reason why anyone should run CT in any deck anymore, because the game has changed from 2500-3000 attackers that have sacs to 1900-2300 attackers that are easy to summon and swarm.  There for CT wont do as much damage as it once did.  Thats a shame too.
