Dale is a giraffe. He plays a solid, gritty game, and has a long beard. He plays full-force until the dying seconds of the game, and is believed to be the "Rudy" of the NTL. Dale has been carried off the field by his teammates an NTL record 12 times, beating the previous record of 10, held by Trent Jugular in the 1978-79 season.

He has been named as a member on the Board of Governors. Amidst all the controversy of the appointing of Nathan Boutin to the position of League Commissioner, Dale has used his new voice on the Board to be that of reason and compromise. His official stance on the matter has been that while Nathan has given the Board some reason to be concerned about his ability to function as the head of the League, he also deserves a chance to prove himself. It has also been made very clear that Dale wishes to remind everyone that the game of Trogdor is meant to be fun.
