Tupac Shakur:Rap Legend and Revolutionary

Tupac Shakur, aka Pac, aka 2pac bka Makaveli was what you would define as hip hop. Real life experiences made their way into one of the most powerful outlets in the world-Music. This man, rather legend, inspired many Hip Hop/Rap artists that thrive in our musical entertainment business today.

Shakur was born Lesane Parish Crooks in Brooklyn. He was later renamed Tupac Amaru after an Inca Revolutionary. It means shining serpent, while Shakur means thankful to God. A name that shows so much meaning was a sign of a proctocal rap revolutionary ready to take on the music world by storm.

Tupac realized his potential as a writer when he was 12. He wrote poetry, raps, songs, and any other thing that would allow him to express himself. He attended a performing arts school in Baltimore and studied acting and ballet dancing. However when he moved to Oakland he stopped studing.

By fifteen Pac feel in love with rap. The way it made him appear as a tough "thug life" teen growing up in New York made him feel untouchable And so the birth of Mc New York was born.

Makaveli became a dancer for digital underground. Shortly after his first album 2pacalypse was released. The best single of the album was "Brenda's having a baby. He later releasd "Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z".

Shakur's first encounter with gun violence publically was in November of 1994, he was shot five times during a robbery. He held on and survived allowing him to release "Me against the world" in 1995.

Among Tupac's many musical accomplishments he had a role in "Juice" and later was in "Poetic Justice" with the Jackson Baby Janet. This move into Hollywood drastically boosted his already triumphant carreer. He also had a role in "Above the Rim"

After Pac spent sometime with law issues, he released "All Eyes On Me." "All Eyes On Me" has sold over 6 million copies.

On September 7th, Tupac Shakur was shot by unknown gunmen and died on September 13, 1996. Much of what happened on this night remains a mystery to this very day. The Don Killuminati, will remain a legend.
