Why are old movies better?

Some of the best movies that I have seen from "the Good old Days" were made from Radio Pictures or Paramount Pictures. I have seen very few movies from Fox. My favorite movie from Fox is "The Best Years of Our Lives."

Most of the movies I like have some of the best actors. "Yours, Mine, and Ours" stars Lucille Ball; "Road to Zanzibar" and "Road to Singapor" star Bob Hope; and the "Major and the Minor" stars Ginger Rogers. You can see all of these on Turner Classic Movies. If you click on the link "schedule" it will take you directly to their website.

The reason why I like to watch old movies than new ones is because the new ones are so violent, idiotic and most of the time pointless. In the old movies everything is so romantic, funny; there is more dancing and singing than killing and dieing. When people cry it is over done. They are so chezzy but in a good way.

I am the kind of person that is not a big fan of technology. If I use technology it is because I need to or I have to. So graphics in a movie are not important to me (unless the movie has graphics and they are really bad, then it's important). So it's so releiving that they don't have it. And they don't need it. And I love that old movies are in black and white. It gives them something extra: history, character. Something that the new movies don't have, and I believe that it's something important.
