Tarot Tarot
My main part of power is my Tarot. I've become quite good at it, and everyone thinks I am psychotic becuase my cards talk to me. Just goes to show you how much society has shaped us to think that only things that move have a spirit.

Most of this stuff is taken from a book that came with a set of Tarot cards I have called "Haloween Tarot". It explains everything really good. Right now I am just going to tell you the ancient ten card tarot spread, and what the different cards mean. I may not have all of it up yet, but I hope to soon. Thanks:)

Reading the Cards

Read your cards however you want. You can do it with a partner, or by yourself. Just make sure that you do it in a peaceful environment, and preferably grounded, and centered.

If you went to a professional tarot reader, or a "diviner", you would probably go through the following process: First, you(questioner or querent) would go into a room with the diviner. You would sit at a table, most likely covered with a table cloth. They diviner would take their cards out, and unwrap them from their cotton or silk, preferably silk(which keeps them protected from outside influences)and gives you the cards to shuffle so that your essence will be transferred to them.

While you are shuffleing them, concentrate on what you want the cards to tell you. The diviner will then take them from you, and lay them out in a spread. There are many different spreads, and many different ways the cards can be interpreted.

Tarot Spreads

There are many different ways to read the deck. One way is just the Pick any card technique. This can be done to answer a question, or to give you something to think about.

Dead Cut-This is another way to pick a random card. First, shuffle the deck and then put it on the table. Think of a question, and then cut the duck quickly and precisively and set both stacks face down on the table. The bottom card of the first stack is your card. If you want to do this with just the major arcana cards, then seperate the 22 cards from the deck, shuffle them, and pick a number from 1 to 22. Count down from the top card each card, until you get to the card that you chose.
Three Card Spreads
There are some three card spreads which can be done quickly and offer precisive results. Card 1 represents past events or conditions that have led up to where you are now.
Card 2 Suggests new directions that you might take.
Card 3 Shows what could happen as a result of paths taken in card 2.

Other possibilities of the three card lay out are: *Past, present, future.
*Dilemma, choice one, choice 2
*Hope, fear, opposition.

The Ancient ten card tarot spread
(The ancient celtic cross method)

The anceint ten card tarot spread can be done with the whole deck or the 22 major arcana cards. The cards should be places face down, and turned from left to right. Turning from bottom to top changes the meaning of the card. I'm trying to get some layouts working...
The Major Arcana

There are 78 cards in the tarot deck. The 22 major arcana cards are said to be very powerful in the querents life. They often reveal issues relating to love, hate, life and death; and leave the other deeper emotions of the person "disclosed"
