I have never been a big fan of any of Mr. Kenny’s characters, but his work is phenomenal.
The range of voices this man can produce is astounding. From Cliff to Dog, Heffer to the Mayor of Townsville. Some of his other work includes the narrator on Powerpuff Girls, Spongebob Squarepants, Bloaty, one of the Chameleon Brothers, Val Halen, The Living Bullet, Parallax, a joey on a recent episode of The Wild Thornberrys, Ratbert, Asok, and millions of extras on each of these shows.
He is a great screen actor, as well. I saw him on the Christmas episode of Cousin Skeeter, and his facial expressions were extraordinary. Dog’s expressions are obviously modeled after his own.
He has been paired up with Jim Cummings quite a bit lately, causing me to take notice of him. They work great together.
Mr. Kenny does an outstanding female voice. In most cases, it is very obvious when a man does a female voice, yet this rule does not apply here. I mean, he was the Mother’s Day Mean Bob!
The first time I heard about Mr. Kenny was on an “N-File” exposing him as both Heffer and Spongebob. I can now pick him out all most all of the time.
