For the time being I'm staying with my parents and two of my three sisters in Varberg, on the Swedish west-coast about 80 km south of Gothenburg. The reason why I use the word stay and not live, is because I'm only staying here for three weeks, then I'm moving in with my friend Vera in Tomelilla in Skåne, where I'll be working until Christmas.
I just got back from spending six great months in Jersey, working at Millbrook House Hotel. I was there last season as well and I had the time of my life! It's a really beautiful place!
My big passion in life is traveling. The first time I went abroad, except for Denmark, was when I was 13 and went to Tunisia with my friend Monika and her family. The best two weeks of my life and I enjoyed every minute of it. We went back the year after and then once every year until 1996, except for 1995.
In 1994 Monika and I also went to Vienna, Austria, and Prague, Czech Republic, in April. We spent four days in Vienna and then a week in Prague. We had a great time and we went back to Prague in June as well! A great place for drinking and partying! Everything is dead cheap.
1995... I went to France for ten days together with my classmates. We went to Alsace and Champagne to see some of the vineyards. It was interesting but I wasn't that thrilled while we were there. Now France is my favourite country in Europe!
Later that year I went to Amsterdam, Holland with my boyfriend and two friends. We just stayed over the weekend so we didn't see much. But I would love to go back!
1996 was a good year of travelling for me. In February we went to Tunisia for two weeks, then London for a week in April, went to Rhodos, Greece in June for a week and then straight to Kos island where I spent the summer with two of my closest friends, Josefin and Jennie!
And last year, 1997 I started in February with a week in Paris. What a great city! I visited my friend Josefin who was there working. The weather was great, about 15 degrees Celsius, lots of sun and fun!
In May I went to Kos island,again, for holidays with my friend Kattis
and after ten days I went to Jersey, Channel islands, UK to work for the season.
1998 has been a crap year for travelling so far. I didn't go anywhere until April the 12th when I just went back to Jersey, stayed for six months, as you already know, came back home and...
Here I am now!
1996 and 1997 I worked for two months (Oct-Dec) as a forwarding agent in a warehouse, and that's where I'm going this year as well. It was a good job and we had lots of fun. Besides all that, I also made some good money! I'm trying to save up so I can go travelling all summer of 1999. Then maybe I'll be able to write a song about it! "Summer of -99"
This time I want to go somewhere outside of Europe. I want to see something really different! Maybe travel through Africa or Asia. I've always wanted to go to South Africa or India. If you have any suggestions, or want to come with me, just e-mail!
In Jersey I worked in a small hotel named Millbrook House Hotel. We were a bunch of young girls working together, known as the Millbrook Spicegirls.
