Anticipating the next day's Quest for the Degree Confluence, Wagner set out to borrow a GPS to help on the trip. Here we see Livi's Uncle Ralph Merrill, Wag and cousin Paul Merrill. They are Livi's perpetual suppliers of all things technological, or as Livi so eloquently put it at the time, "The Guys Who Gave Us The Thing." We had hoped to be able to photograph Wagner in the Merrill's driveway (you'll see why later), but by the time we left it had grown too dark for pictures. However, this was NOT a failure, as we were able to take the pictures when we returned the GPS. And indeed, some might say they are the highlight of the trip. Again, you'll understand later. So anyway. The Guys Who Gave Us The Thing. Voila.
