• FIRST GENERATION: Elizabeth GORDON was born on 3 Feb 1800 in SC. She died before 1870 in Most likely, Pickens Co., SC. She was married to Almon POWELL
• SECOND GENERATION: Thomas GORDON was born on 21 Dec 1758 in Spotsylvania Co., VA. He died on 23 Jan 1826 in Gwinnett Co., GA. He was married to Mary BUFFINGTON on 2 Jan 1777 in 96th District, SC.
• THIRD GENERATION: John GORDON was born about 1699 in Scotland. He died about 1786 in Culpeper Co., VA. He was married to Elizabeth ROY before 1758.
• FOURTH GENERATION: William GORDON 6th Viscount of Kenmure was born in Scotland
