Ooh…a reformed thief. Robin is intrigued. Well, actually, the DW in me doubts the extent of his “reformation” and the Megavolt is accusing him of being a sell-out. The result is something that sort of resembles intrigue. And besides, it sounded good.
Duke is a veritable master when it comes to swordsmanship. He has the air of one who has seen things no one should have to and doesn’t care to be reminded of them. The guy doesn’t like to talk about himself, nor does he ask many questions regarding his colleagues’ pasts, intentions, or other personal…things. He expects them to do the same for him.
Because of this, the guys occasionally misunderstand him, and, even worse, mistrust him. Mallory is the number one culprit for this, however "To Catch A Duck" showed that the entire team is guilty of doubting his intentions. On the other hand, Duke was the only one to say anything in Phil’s defense when Wraith hypnotized him.
I would have guessed that he was considerably older than he is supposed to be. The white streak in his hair and his wise-beyond-his-years persona is just a bit misleading.
All in all, Duke is just an awesome character. Like most of his companions in that category, I really haven’t much to say about him beyond that.
