I have started this page at least six times now. It always starts with “This show. This is why I haven’t slept since tenth grade.” But it never goes any farther. Or I lose it. Or I am dissatisfied with it. But it never gets passed the first draft stage. And that’s a shame. Because the show is the best ever, and I love it for so many reasons.

First and foremost, I love the fact that I can stay relatively current on world events simply by watching a show I enjoy. Maybe that’s sad and pathetic, but that pretty much describes me, doesn’t it? And I also love the fact that it’s less biased than the real news simply because they don’t pretend that they aren’t.

I am so absolutely in love with Jon Stewart and all of the correspondents. They’re fabulously witty and quite intelligent, and it’s quite rare to find both qualities in an entire cast these days. I want to know where they find all of these people - and where I can sign up ;^) Stephen Colbert (man, I miss Even Stevens...) and Ed Helms are my favourites, but they’re all great in their own ways.

And I love the guests. It’s great fun to watch Stewart interact with whomever he happens to be talking with each night. And it’s quite a lot of fun to learn about all of the people. Whether they turn out to be just as nifty as I thought, far more interesting than I gave them credit for, or just flat out boring, it’s always worth watching. I’m waiting to see Bale and Gruffudd. That would be fun. Or maybe Robert Lindsay. But Bale and Gruffudd first (hear me, Mr. Stewart? Of course you don’t.)

The one thing I can find to complain about is that it’s CALLED The Daily Show, but it only comes on four days out of the week. What’s that all about? Huh? It’s fake news, for crying out loud. The REAL news comes on every day. Several times.
(Sorry...It’s Saturday night, and I’m going through withdrawal)
