I absolutely love to laugh, and there’s nothing quite so hilarious as a good standup comic. And these are my favourites:

Maria Bamford: An absolutely amazing voice actress with an adorable routine, Maria Bamford puts me in mind of Kath Soucie. If you are at all interested in watching master voice actors in action, watch her Comedy Central Presents. It’s both hilarious and awe-inspiring.

Rob Cantrell: I’ve only seen this man perform for a total of about five minutes, and I’ve only seen him for about ten more, but I absolutely love him to death and I think it’s a serious indication that the end of the world is nigh that he keeps getting voted off of Last Comic Standing so early in the game. The man is a genius, he’s a sweetie, he’s cute (especially with the glasses), he’s absolutely hilarious, and I want to see more. Right now. [slams fist onto table]

Dane Cook: Dane Cook makes me think of Rob Cantrell in a lot of ways. But he’s much, MUCH more physical. I saw him on Tough Crowd one night, and he literally scaled Patrice O’Neal. He has a very random, off-beat sense of humour – just what I like, and I’d like to thank Brittany for introducing me to his work.

Mitch Hedberg: Okay, random... Just the way I like it. Watch this stuff and do a little thinking.

Elvira Kurt: Ha! Anyone who talks about childhood this much is my favourite. Do yourself a favour – watch it and laugh.

Vince Morris: Oh my dear sweet goodness, but I enjoyed his Comedy Central Presents! I really do think I’m going to have to order his CD. And I’ve never done that before, just up and ordered a comedy CD. Mostly because I’m a broke college student, but also because most of the comedians I find humourous are way obscure. But Morris... He’s intelligent, witty, out to change things for the better, not afraid of touchy issues, and clean! I could watch his Comedy Central Presents with my father and not feel at all uncomfortable. Definitely check this guy out,

Had enough?
