C.I.O.V.I. is the Uruguayan UFO Investigation Center, a civilian, private, non-for profit institute. Founded on April 29, 1958, it is one of the oldest still operating organizations of its kind in Latin America. The Center has a scientific approach to the investigation and study of the UFO phenomenon. CIOVI enjoys a good relationship with the scientific and technological community in Uruguay.
C.I.O.V.I. is no longer active. If you are interested in the Unusual Aerial Phenomena or you want to report a case, please visit the website for U.A.P.S.G.-G.E.F.A.I.
CIOVI welcomes the exchange of ideas, and information on cases that after being exhaustively investigated have been classified as UFOs. By UFO the Center understands what the acronym literally means (i.e. unidentified flying object). CIOVI does not ascribe to any particular hypothesis concerning the nature or origin of this phenomenon.
