Welcome to my page.
My name as you can gather,is Dave Stronge.I have been making and repairing musical instruments for more than 30 years now both in England and America,and am recognised by the Guild of Master Craftsmen in England.
I firmly believe in working with the musician and aiding them in any way i can so they can achieve exactly what they need,assisting with repair advice when needed,if i feel they can do it themselves or if they are unable to get the instrument to me recomending another firm in their area if i know of one.
I repair all types of instruments from strings to woodwind,and have made a multitude of stringed instruments from Hapsichords to lutes.
Work on historical instruments is something i realy enjoy and class myself as a coservator of instruments.Having worked on a few in Colonial Williamsburg as well as England. The restoration of the Stieffe square piano(General Robert E.Lee's)for Stratford Hall was one of the most interesting and perplexing.
I have played in many great bands with brilliant musicians.Celtic music is and always has been my love,but enjoy picking and sessioning Bluegrass.
