• Sophia TAXIS was born on 03 April 1797, in Pfaffenhofen, Württemberg, and baptized on 07 April 1797, in the Evangelische Kirche (church) in Pfaffenhofen. Sophia was the daughter of Johann Friderich TAXIS and Maria Eva HAMANN. Sophia married Johann Bernard DÖRICH, on 04 July 1826, in the Evangelische Kirche, in Kürnbach, Baden. Johann Bernard DÖRICH, was born on the 25 September 1800, in Kürnbach, Hesse-Darmstadt. He was the son of Johann Adam DÖRICH and Sophia Cordula HERZOG. Sophia and Johann had seven children, all of whom were born in Kürnbach. Although Johann Bernard DÖRICH and the five surviving childen (two children were stillborn) emigrated to the United States in 1854, I have found no evidence that Sophia came to the United States. However, I have not found any evidence of her death in Kürnbach, either.
  

  NOTE - Kürnbach has a very interesting history. About two-thirds of Kürnbach was part of Hessen, and one third part of Württemberg, for over 600 years. Then in 1810, the part that was part of Württemberg was given to Baden, while the remainder stayed part of Hessen until 1810, when all of Kürnbach became part of Baden. The Evangelische Kirche in Kürnbach was in the part of the town that was part of Württemberg, and then Baden.
  

• Johann Friderich TAXIS was born on 04 January 1765, in Pfaffenhofen, Württemberg, and was baptized on the 05 January 1765, in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. He died on 31 December 1833 in Pfaffenhofen at the age of 68 years, 11 months, and 27 days. In 1797, Johann Friderich's occupation is given as a Hafner (potter), and in 1826, he is listed as a Hafnermeisters (master potter). He married Maria Eva Hamann, on 25 November 1788, in the Evangelische Kirche in Kürnbach, Württemberg. Maria Eva was born on 15 March 1764, in Kürnbach. She died on 03 January 1841, in Pfaffenhofen, at the age of 76 years, 9 months, 15 days. Maria Eva was the daughter of Johann Leonhard Hamann and Christina Barbara KNAUSS.

  • Christina Barbara TAXIS was born 10 September 1789, in Pfaffenhofen and was baptized on 11 September 1789, in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen, Württemberg. She married Johannes Wigand on 30 September 1829, in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. She married Johann Adam ZEH on 16 January 1844, in the Evangelische Kirche, in Kürbach, Baden.

  • Georg Friederich TAXIS was born on 23 August 1791, in Pfaffenhofen, and was baptized on 23 August 1791, in the Evangelische Kirche, in Pfaffenhofen. Georg Friederich died on 03 October 1871 in Pfaffenhofen. His occupation is listed as Hafner. He married Christina BÖKLE, on 25 August 1818, in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen.

  • Johannes TAXIS was born on 24 November 1793 in Pfaffenhofen, and was baptized on 25 November 1793, in the town's Evangelische Kirche. He died on 04 January 1862, in Pfaffenhofen at the age of 68 years, 1 month, 11 days. Johannes was married twice. He married Justina Elisabetha RÖSCH on 13 February 1820, in the Evangelische Kirche in Güglingen, Württemberg. There was also a proclamation of the marriage in the Pfaffenhofen parish records. Justina Elisabetha was born on 12 November 1796, in Güglingen. Johannes' second marriage was to Christina Friedrika STAPF, whom he married on 01 March 1840, in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. Christina Friedrika was born on 30 April 1809.

  • Justina or Eva Barbara TAXIS was a twin born on 28 March 1796, in Pfaffenhofen, and baptized a day later. She died the day of her baptism. Her baptismal record shows her name as Justina, but her death record shows her name as Eva Barbara. Perhaps her stillborn twin was to be called one name or the other.

  • Stillborn Child TAXIS. She was stillborn on 28 March 1796, in Pfaffenhofen.

  • Sophia TAXIS, was born 03 April 1797. She her information above.

  • Justina TAXIS was born on 06 June 1799, in Pfaffenhofen, and baptized the following day, in the town's Evangelische Kirche.

  • Barbara TAXIS was born on 25 October 1801, in Pfaffenhofen, and was baptized the same day, in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. Barbara died on 17 December 1801.

  • Elisabeth Barbara TAXIS was born on 07 January 1803, in Pfaffenhofen, and died on 16 June 1807, in Pfaffenhofen.

  • Christina TAXIS was born on 09 July 1805, in Pfaffenhofen; and was baptized on the same day in the town's Evangelische Kirche. She married Michael WÖSSNER on 12 November 1837, in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. Michael was born on 22 August 1812.

  
  

• Georg Michael TAXIS was born on 14 April 1728, in Pfaffenhofen, Württemberg;and he was baptized on the same day in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. He died on 28 July 1803, in Pfaffenhofen. He was the son of Johann Georg TAXIS and Anna Catharina Bernhard. Georg Michael, a smithy, married Sophia / Sophia Barbara MAYER / MAIER on 06 September 1763, in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. Sophia / Sophia Barbara was born on 20 March 1740, in Pfaffenhofen; and was baptized on the same day in the Evangelische Kirche in that town. She died on 25 September 1812, in Pfaffenhofen, at the age of 72 years, 6 months, 5 days, of a stroke. She was the daughter of Herr Georg Friederich MAYER and Margretha Barbara KOHLHAMMER.

  • Leonhard TAXIS was born on 11 August 1767, in Pfaffenhofen, and baptized on the same day in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. He died on 25 January 1828, in Pfaffenhofen, at the age of 60 years, 5 months, 15 days. Leonhard married Maria Barbara RENZ, on 29 June 1790, in the Evangelische Kirche, in Pfaffenhofen. She was born 23 May 1772, and died on 24 February 1824, in Pfaffenhohfen, at the age of 61 years, 8 months, 25 days.

  • Elisabetha Magdalena TAXIS was born on 13 May 1770, in Pfaffenhofen, and baptized on the same day in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. She died on Christmas Day, 1804, in Pfaffenhofen, at the age of 34 years, 6 months, 14 days. Elisabetha Magdalena married Christoph STIRBER / STUBER, on 09 February 1796, in the Evangelische Kirche, in Pfaffenhofen.

  • Johannes TAXIS was born on 12 June 1777, in Pfaffenhofen. He was baptized on the same day in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. Johannes died on 19 January 1779, in Pfaffenhofen, of smallpox. His age at death is listed as 1 year, 5 months.

He was born December 1771, in Pfaffenhofen, and died on 28 February 1826, in Pfaffenhofen, at the age of 54 years, 2 months, 19 days. At the time of their marriage Jacob was listed as a soldier. His occupation was vineyard farmer.

  • Georg Michael TAXIS was born on 09 November 1782, in Pfaffenhofen, and baptized on the same day in the town's Evangelische Kirche. He died on 07 August 1783, at the age of 9 months, of smallpox.

  
  
• Johann Georg TAXIS was born in February 1704, in Pfaffenhofen, and baptized on 05 February 1704, in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. He died on 14 July 1753, in Pfaffenhofen. His age of death was listed in the church records as 50 years, 9 months, 5 days. Johann Georg was the son of Johann Georg von Taxis and Anna Barbara Burckhard. He married Anna Catharina Bernhard, daughter of Antonus Bernhard, on 26 November 1726, in the Evangelische Kirche, in Pfaffenhofen. Anna Catharina died on 25 October 1773, at the age of 72 years.

  • Johann Christoph TAXIS was born in December 1730, in Pfaffenhofen, and was baptized on Christmas Day, in the Evangelische Kirche, in Pfaffenhofen. He died in East India.

  • Johann Friderich TAXIS was born on 18 January 1734, in Pfaffenhofen, and was baptized the same day in the Evangelische Kirche, in Pfaffenhofen. He married Anna Maria REICHENBACHER, on 26 January 1762, in the Evangelische Kirche in Besigheim, Württemberg. There was a marriage proclaimation in the Evangelische Kirche of Pfaffenhofen on the same day. Johann Friderich was a hoof and shieldmaker (or armorer), as well as a beer brewer.

  • Johannes Taxis was born on 19 May 1736, in Pfaffenhofen, and was baptized on the following day in the Evangelische Kirche, in Pfaffenhofen. He married Maria Agnes Werz or Wezen, on 22 September 1761, in the Evangelische Kirche, in Neuhausen auf den Fildern, Württemberg. Johannes was an angenommener bürger (accepted citizen) of Neuhausen auf den Fildern. His occupation was "Huff und Waffenschmied", which means he was a hoof and shieldmaker, or armorer. The town of Neuhausen auf den Fildern was called Häffner Neuhausen in order to distinguish it from other towns by the name of Neuhausen. "Häffner" means potmaker and there were a lot of potmakers in this Neuhausen.

  • Anna Catharina TAXIS was born 30 May 1739, in Pfaffenhofen, and was baptized the following day in the town's Evangelische Kirche. She died on 14 October 1740, age the age of 1 year, 4 months.

  • Maria Sara TAXIS was born 03 May 1742, in Pfaffenhofen, and was baptized the following day in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. Maria Sara moved to Gemmingen, Baden.

  • Anna Catharina TAXIS was born 29 July 1745, in Pfaffenhofen, and was baptized that day in the Evangelische Kirche in Pfaffenhofen. She died on 04 February 1811. Anna Catharina had an illegitimate son (Christian Wilhelm TAXIS) by Christian STUMPF, in September 1771. She had another illegitimate child (Elisabetha Magdalena) by Leonhard GLASSBRENNER, on 16 February 1775. On 01 September 1786, she had an unnamed child that died on the same day. This child's father was Jakob Oberholz.
