Football is a game of field position. Nothing is more valuable then a good punter. Steve Schweingruber constantly gave good field position or got the BLUES out of a hole in their own territory. His 36.80 punting average has stood since statistics were kept in 1984. |
Josh Perkins
A kicking machine for the BLUES in the early 1990s, Josh Perkins holds a number of kicking records. His 40 regular season points was a big part of the STATE Championship Team's success in 1992. He is pictured kicking the winning field goal in a rainstorm at Marion. His 10 Field goals in 1992 is still on the top ten list for Virginia High Schools. |
Rick Arms
On a cold and rainy night in 1972, Rick Arms kicked his way into the Tornado record books. Using a "straight ahead" kicking style Arms kicked at 45 yard field goal in a 18-12 victory over Princeton High. |
