THE TAKE-A-WAYS

Jeremy McCommons

In a stunning 66-23 playoff victory over Lee High, Jeremy McCommons put the icing on the OFFENSIVE cake with a 95 yard interception return to finish a 32 point first half for the BLUES. Along the way, McCommons rushed for 260 yards on only 13 carries and scored 4 touchdowns on runs of 74, 48, 45, and 40 yards.

Sid Maxwell

A defensive MAN'S DREAM--to pick up a loose ball and score. On a cold and rainy night, Sid Maxwell scooted 85 yards at the beginning of the second half for the third touchdown of the evening for the BLUES. The score propelled RHS to a 30-12 victory over the Golden Wave of Grundy.

Ernie Mullins

Ernie Mullins was the last line of defense on the 1972 playoff TEAM. When a ball went in the air it seemed Mullins was always in the area. He recorded 10 of the 25 interceptions recorded by the playoff bound BLUES during the season.
