Isaiah 55:2

"Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare."

How are you spending your time and money? Do you find satisfaction in your life or do you always want something more, something better? Do you think that as soon as you have gained something new (like that new truck or house?)that you will be satisfied only to find that within a few days you are looking for the next "new toy" that is going to make you happy? Do you find yourself working so hard but not really loving the job that you go to everyday? Well, my friend, if you delight in God you will be satisfied beyond your wildest imagination. Try it.........you may just love what you find!!!

Isaiah 22:20-24

"In that day I will summon my servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah. I will clothe him with your robe and fasten your sash around him and hand your authority over to him. He will be a father to those who live in Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can open. I will drive him like a peg into a firm place; he will be a seat of honor for the house of his father. All the glory of his family will hang on him: it's offspring and offshoots-all its lesser vessels, from the bowls of all the jars."

Revelation 1:13 says, "And among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man", dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest." In Isaiah (above) it speaks of someone dressed like this with a robe and sash. Remember, Eliakim means "God will raise up." It sounds as if this passage speaks prophetically of Jesus. May you have a blessed day. *smile*

I am doing this wonderful study which explains the prophesies of this verse so well and I want to share it with any reading this. It will take a few days. The study is Beth Moore's "Living Beyond Yourself". The name Eliakim means "God will raise up." This verse has such a foreshadowing of who is to come, which of course is Jesus. Come back tomorrow for more info. May you have a blessed day. *smile*

Titus 3:8

"Those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone."

It is truly beneficial to others when your life is devoted to God. The things you do are done out of love and kindness and what is best for the other person. Just as a parent carefully and kindly guides a child, brothers and sisters in Christ should seek to guide each other. Not out of self righteousness, but out of love for the preciousness of the other person.
