Chapter 12 Encounters
The next day I woke up and remembered what had happened last night, I just closed my eyes and thought about some other things. I took a shower, trying as hard as possible to clean myself; I felt dirty, and then I went to a drug store to buy some stuff that my mom asked me to buy. It was a cold day, winter was about to begin.
I was looking for what my mom asked me to buy and I heard someone with a deep voice asked me “Do you need help?” I turned around, it was Ike.
“Hi” I said looking at him and remembering his younger brother.
“How are you?” he asked me, “You look tired”.
“Yes I am tired and you?”
“I am also kind of tired. Are you coming on Thursday to our house?” he asked me, he had some shampoos and candies. I was surprised with this question.
“No one told me anything, how come?” I didn’t want to go to Hanson house and I only had 3 days.
“Well my mom called today to your mom to invite her, your dad and you to have dinner at our house” he said smiling.
“Oh, yeah I guess I will be going then” how lucky...
“Are you alone?” he asked “I am with Taylor; he must be around here somewhere”
“Yeah I am alone right now” how ironic did that sound? “Well I should better go; my mom is waiting for these things”
“Ok, then see you later” he said, I turned around and went to pay for my stuff. I took a magazine and started to flip over the pages, there were so many people in the row and I knew it was going to take a while till I got the chance to pay for these. If my mom wouldn’t have said these things were necessary then I would have left
“Hey” Taylor said touching my arm.
“Hmm hi” I hesitated for a while I didn’t know what to do.
“Are you guys ok?” Ike asked looking at both of us.
“Yes” Taylor said “We are fine” he is such a liar but still there was nothing else to say.
I paid for my things and left, seeing Taylor made me feel so nervous and weird and gosh so many different emotions at the same time. I couldn’t hate him, the truth was that I loved Taylor and I couldn’t live without him; I didn’t know what to do. I thought that the best thing to do was to leave it all in the past and move on; probably I was being dumb. He was right he is my boyfriend, I love him…and he loves me…
I sat down on the floor of my bedroom and remember what had happened last night. Chills ran all over my body, I couldn’t believe it. The phone rang and I came back to Earth.
“Hello?” I sat down on my bed.
“Hey Tina, its Ryan”
“Hi” I said coldly, I was getting tired of him.
“I was calling you because I know you are very good at history and I wanted to ask you if you can help me out, I am lost” he said in a sweet voice, gosh he is so pathetic.
“Sure, I will help you” I was doing this just to take my mind off Taylor and last night.
“Should I go to your house?” he asked.
“Yes” I wasn’t in the mood to drive.
“Ok, I will be there in about half an hour”
“Ok then I will be waiting for you, bye” I said and hang up
Ryan was at my house in half an hour just as he told me he was going to be. He was really hot, well Tay is hotter. Ryan had brown hair, tall, build. We where studying in the living room; he really was lost in history. The doorbell rang and I opened, I wasn’t expecting anyone. It was Ike, Tay, Zac, Annie and April. When I saw Tay standing right outside the door I wish I had said no to Ryan, but now it was too late.
“Hey Tina!” Zac said, the rest waved and Taylor kissed me on my cheek.
“Hi” I said shyly.
“Would you like to come with us to the movies?” Ike asked.
“I can’t” I answered very nervously.
“How come?” Annie asked.
“I am busy” I lied, I heard Ryan coming.
“Who is there?” Annie asked.
“Ryan” I looked back at him.
“Hi everyone” Ryan said happily. They looked shocked and they said hi to Ryan.
“He is my friend...I am helping him in history” I just looked at Tay, he looked hurt and angry.
“Hi” he said.
“
What is he doing here?” Tay asked.
“I was helping him with history” I repeated once more.
“Ok then, since you are busy I will talk to you some other time” Tay said indifferently and left.
“Bye” April and Ike said and followed Taylor.
“Gosh” I said loudly “I can imagine what’s going on in Tay’s head right now…” I said covering my face with my hands.
“We know you would never do anything to Tay” Zac said, “Don’t worry everything is going to be fine”.
“I didn’t want to cause you any problems” Ryan apologized.
”Don’t worry man, its ok. Taylor and Tina have to work things between them” Zac said.
“Zac please help me” I whispered in his ear when he left. He nodded and said he would call me in the night.
Ryan left and I called Annie and her mom told me she hasn’t arrived yet. I was nervous and worried all day about Taylor. I was falling asleep when the phone rang.
“Hello?” I answered asleep.
“Tina?” it was Zac, I relaxed a little.
“Hey Zac” I wanted to tell him about last night, but I knew he would just make a big deal about it.
“Taylor is so pissed off,” he said.
“Zac he is just a friend”.
“Well, yeah, but you acted the same way when he was with Natalie” he was right, I over reacted the first time I saw him with Natalie.
“You are right Zac” I said “but he never gave me the chance to explain him”
“Hold on” he said and I waited for him for 10 sec.
“Tina?”
“Huh”
“Gotta go, and one last thing, I think you should solve your problems with Taylor before your relationship goes to hell” Zac said in a weird tone of voice.
“Ok Zac, bye” I was disappointed, I wanted to hear more about Taylor.
“Bye”
