EPISODE 1: Anne: After sending Angel to hell and being kicked out by her mother, Buffy leaves Sunnydale and moves to the city keeping a low profile and assuming a new identity. s Giles starts to look for his missing Slayer, the gang take care of the slaying. Buffy eventually becomes pulled back to her old job when an evil stranger begins to prey upon homeless teenagers. The following encounter takes Buffy to hell and back, forcing her to examine her past and what she has left behind.

EPISODE 2: Dead Man's Party: As Buffy tries to make amends with mother and the rest of the gang, a horde of Zombies rise from the dead to attack Sunnydale. When they crash her welcome home party, Buffy gets the chance to prove to her friends and loved ones that she won't let them down again.

EPISODE 3: Faith, Hope and Trick: Just as Buffy's life seems to be setling down again with school, hanging out with friends and the occasional saving of the world, she is faced with an ancient cloven-hooved daemon and his blood sucking sidekick Mr. Trick. Another new arrival Faith, helps Buffy in her battle against the daemons and begins to integrate herself into every aspect of Buffy's life.

EPISODE 4: Beauty and the Beasts: When a Sunnydale High student is found savagely mauled in the woods, Willow fears that Oz maybe responsible because of his werewolf persona. Meanwhile Buffy secretly discovers that Angel has returned after a 100 years of torture in Hell, and Buffy suspects that he is the murderer.

EPISODE 5: Homecoming: With Cordelia boasting of a sure fire win in the race for Homecoming Queen, and in so doing awakens the Prom Queen within Buffy, who then tries to enlist the gang's help. Meanwhile Mr. Trick assembles a host of killers in Sunnydale to take part in a hunt that will mean the end for the two slayers.

EPISODE 6: Band Candy: Buffy is forced to grow up fast when Mr. Trick initiates a diabolical scheme to render the town defenceless by causing Sunnydale's adult population to inexplicably begin behaving as irresponsible youths. Meanwhile, Buffy struggles to keep Angel's return a secret, while her mother and Giles plan out a 24 hour a day schedule for her.

EPISODE 7: Revelations: Tempers run hot when the gang learn that Angel has returned and that Buffy has been hiding that fact, but they must all band together to fight off a Demon who has arrived in Sunnydale looking for a highly powerful weapon. Meanwhile, Faith meets her new watcher, a brisk English woman who is disdainful of Giles' haphazard method of doing things.

EPISODE 8: Lovers' Walk: Just as Buffy enjoys a minute to revel in her SAT scores and begin to think of her future, Spike returns to Sunnydale, a shell of his former self who has been left by Drusilla, and has come back for revenge on those who were to blame, especially Angel. Meanwhile, Willow prepares a de-lusting spell to keep her and Xander's emotions in check during a double bowling date with Cordelia and Oz.

EPISODE 9: The Wish: Ridding Sunnydale of one slimy demon provides little distraction for Buffy, Xander, and Willow, who are still coping with the aftermath of their relatonship woes. Cordelia is taking it the hardest, ignoring the vast amount of answering machine messages left by Xander while burning all the pictures of her ex-boyfriend. She arrives at school dressed to kill, but she soon learns that her old friends still have no respect for her, even after Xander has left the picture. Cordelia is introduced to Anya, a new girl in town. Anya takes an immediate intrest in Cordy's personal troubles as she identifies Buffy as the source of all her troubles. 'Don't you just wish...?' asks Anya. Cordelia agrees, she wishes Buffy Summers had never comr to Sunnydale. 'Done' says Anya. And it is...

EPISODE 10: Amends/A Buffy Christmas: As Christmas draws near, Angel begins to relive in his dreams the numerous murders that he has comitted. One of his victims was a young man named Daniel, whom Angel killed in Dublin in 1838. Unable to stay in bed any longer, Angel ventures out onto the streets of Sunnydale and runs into Buffy, who's doing some last minute Christmas shopping. Angel's attention is soon diverted to a familiar face in the distance. Impossible as it may seem, Angel recognizes this person as Daniel, the same man he killed 160 years ago. Seeking Gile's help, Angel is disturbed to find himself haunted by the apparent spirit of Jenny Calender...

EPISODE 11: Gingerbread: On a typical night of patrol and slaying, Buffy's standard routine is unexpectedly interrupted bt the arrival of her mother. Joyce feels that it's time to get a better understandind of her daughter's world by watching Buffy in action. Her timing is perfect - almost as soon as Joyce arrives, a vampire enters the scene, and Joyce then discovers the bodies of two dead children, one boy and one girl, at a nearby playground. A strange symbol has been inscribed in the palms of their hands. While the police investigate the crime scene, Buffy tries to console her distraught mother, unaware the effect that the incident has had on her.

EPISODE 12: Helpless: With her eighteenth birthday almost upon her, Buffy is anxiously waiting to spend some time with her father at an ice show, as she has done every year. Later, at the library, Giles leads Buffy through a study of vibratory stones, although she seems to be paying little attention. Afterwards Buffy battles with avampire in the park. just as she is about to deliver the final blow, Buffy finds herself weak and powerless. The vampire knocks her to the ground and turns the stake on the Slayer herself. Buffy is able to stun the vampire with a headbutt and defeat him. Concerned how close she came to death, she tells Giles that she believes she is losing her powers...

EPISODE 13: The Zeppo: Giles, Faith, Buffy and Willow battle the female demons, the Sisterhood of Jhe. Xander, meanwhile is left to hide under the rubble. Buffy expresses concern that Xander is going to get himself hurt or killed and that he should leave the fighting to them in future. Xander's problems increases when he incurs the wrath of school psycho Jack O'Toole. Cordelia ridicules Xander, saying he must feel like Jimmy Olsen having superheroes for friends but being able to contribute nothing himself. In the cafeteria, Xander analyses 'coolness' with Oz and decides that he needs a gimmick to impress the Scooby Gang. Back in the library, Giles tells Buffy that the Sisterhood of Jhe exists 'solely to bring about the world's destruction'. They intend to open the Hellmouth...

EPISODE 14: Bad Girls: The arrival of a replacemnt Watcher sees Buffy and Faith question to whom their loyalties belong. Hunting a vampire sect called El Eliminati, they become more reckless, despite Angel's warning that the demon Balthazar is nowhere near as dead as new Watcher, Wesley, believes. In the mayor's office, Mr. Trick hsa brought the swords of El Eliminati to Mayor Wilkins, saying that their owner is dead, but others of the group have been seen around town. The mayor's assistant, Allan Finch, suggests they postpone the coming ritual, but the mayor won't hear of it - it is "the final step before his ascension" in 100 days. He suggests that any information they learn about these vampires be passed on to the Slayers. Hopefully, they will all kill each other...

EPISODE 15: Consequences: With the body of the deputy mayor discovered, Buffy tries to convince Faith to confess, without success, but the pair break into Finch's office and find all his files are gone. They spot the Mayor and Mr. Trick together but Buffy is more concerned be Faith's lack of conscience, though Faith says slaying puts them above the law. Wesley orders Faith and Buffy to investigate the murder. That night in the alley, Detective Stein is questioning a woman who claims to have heard a man scream, while other police are gathering evidence. Angel is observing, and remembers seeing blood on Buffy's hand...

EPISODE 16: Dopplegangland: Desperate to end her time as a mortal, Anyanka the Patron Saint of Scorned Women begs a demon to create a temporal fold that would allow her to retrieve her amulet, but the demon refuses. So she seeks Willow's help on the very day that Willow is becoming tired of being 'Reliable Dog Geyser Person'. The spell is broken before the necklace is returned, but it does have one unexpected side-effect: the calling into this dimension of the vampire Willow from the world created by Cordelia's wish...

EPISODE 17: Enemies: Buffy and Faith encounter a demon who offers to sell them the Books of Ascension. Faith reports to the Mayor who orders her to retrieve the books and kill the demon. Back in the library, Buffy reports on the offer to Giles and Wesley. All they know is that the ascension is not a good thing; according to one book, it caused a whole city to disappear. Faith finds the demon in his motel room, kills him brutally, and takes the books. Then she goes to the mansion, claiming to need Angel's friendship because she's scared of her killer tendencies...

EPISODE 18: Earshot: Whilst battling a demon Buffy is infected by its blood, which will give her 'an aspect of the demon'. Buffy is concerned over what form this 'aspect' will take (believing she may grow horns, or a tail) but when she eventually discovers that the new gift is telepathy, she is overloyed. It enables her to dominate an English literature class by reading the thoughts of the bitchy Nancy Doyle, although it does mean that she knows exactly what is going on in the minds of her friends. 'God Xander! Is that all you think about?!'...

EPISODE 19: Choices: The Mayor gives Faith a gift of a sacrificial knife which impresses her. In the cemetry, Angel and Buffy kill a pair of vampires. Buffy expresses concern that they are in a rut; all they do is patrol and Angel never takes her anywhere new. She wonders if their life together will always be this way. The final preperations for the Mayor's Ascension are underway but the last piece of the jigsaw, the Box of Gavrok comes to the attention of Buffy and her friends. An attempt to capture the Box from the Mayor's office succeds, but Willow is taken hostage by Faith...

EPISODE 20: The Prom: Buffy wakes up in bed with Angel realising that their 'post-slayage nap' must have lasted too long. She mentions that she'd like to spend the night after the prom with Angel, which she reminds him that he will blend into, since lots of girls have older boyfriends. Angel looks uncomfortable, and tells her she should go. Thinking it's still night, Buffy opens the curtain, but Angel is doused with sunlight. The Senior Prom is coming and Xander has an interesting date, Anya. By chance he discovers Cordelia's part-time job and is shocked to learn that her family have lost all their money. But they are interrupted by an attack from a creature Giles describes as a 'Hell Hound'...

EPISODE 21: Graduation Day Part 1: As Graduation day approaches, and with the Mayor preparing for his transformation, the Scooby Gang prepare for what they belive may be their last day on earth, whilst realising that their time in school is cming to an end one way or another. Faith, snt by the Mayor, goes to visit a Professor Lester Worth at his appartment. After asking if they're alone, she pulls out aknife and tells him the Mayor wants him dead, though she didn't ask why. She stabs and kills him...

EPISODE 22: graduation Day Part 2: With having Faith used the last of her strength to fall onto a passing lorry and no further options open to her, Buffy saves Angel's life the only way she can - by offering herself for him to feed on. Asking Willow and Oz to leave her alone with her dying lover, Buffy slaps Angel's face until he transforms into his daemonic persona...
