Many who come think they're strong, and fold.
"I will bear it all alone", they say.
The one who says "I need help today"
is strong, and will hold.

For there is not strength in not seeing
that alone nobody can stand tough
the one who sees weakness has enough
might in her being.

She will not seal herself from those who
will help her to get through what this pain
means to her.  She'll get wet in the rain
it will not soak through

And the rain will subside, wait and see
until just a small pool remains there.
It will not leave, in spite of hot air
like a planted tree.

The tree will grow with water and earth
it will shade her from the scorching sun.
And from the heat she will never run
but bask in the mirth

of the tree.
