What you have known these seventeen lon years
now falls apart, unthinkable of fears,
for all seemed right to you, and
to the on-lookers looked like they would stand
through separation, desire and the truth.
Some change arose in one you loved
and who made you. No one but Him above
knows cause or impetus for this.
Fate chose her victim, betrayed him with a kiss.
Now amidst the trials of life this comes.
Don't stand alone. The pain will wallow you.
You have that strength; you know now what to do.
Let us support, let us hold up, that which you cannot take.
As we your burden lighter now will make.
If you this trial must all the way transverse,
we who have been with you in better walk in worse.
You know best what needs must happen now.
Don't shut me out; let me hold you now.
Some pain I'll take, some is yours to keep;
won't kill you, though into you it may seep.
Such is the nature of the pain of life,
as when a man, still young, doth choose a wife.
