"Almost Christmas"
That time is getting closer
I wish it’d never be over
Especially since I’m lovin’ this
It’s December, almost Christmas
The snow is now here
The man with the beard
Is getting awfully near
Flakes flying down
One more day ‘til we pass around
Presents to clear out the frowns
I’m practicing what
I will say
When that one
Specific day
Will arrive,
Man, I feel alive
Rudolph, Frosty
Santa mostly
All known figures
Of the Xmas fixtures
Cut out some stars
Gifts to open
Set them far apart
Turkey’s-a-roastin’
Family’s coming by
Possibly the last time
So I’ll watch my life
And what I say to my
Loving relatives
Nothing negative
Or repetitive
Just positive
Oh and Eggnog
A lot of it
The day before Christmas it is
And I’ve already gotten the best gift
Already, the gift of love
So nothing can ruin it
I’m ready to show some love
To live through it
Hard to sleep before the big night
But I will surely be nestled tight
Thinkin’ of the day ahead
All while in my bed
Merry Christmas, I said
To myself before I jammed
Into dreamland
To wake up with presents in hand
