I always thought that nothing bad could happen
I always felt the need to take the blame
I always wanted more out of this
And now it seems as if it’s all a game
I sometimes can sense the future
I sometimes cause those bad things
I sometimes feel more for her than I do for me
And then I can’t tell my life apart from story

It’s never always

Though things do change
It’s never me first, her later
I have never been a traitor

Never more will I conceal
Secrets are what keep us hidden
Thoughts never spoken, only in the mind
They float around like air
But if ever she gets inside your head
Safety, you thought would always stay there
Will, if not already, wind up dead
And the love that she gives
Won’t make up for any of it
It changes from ‘Always’
To ‘Sometimes,’ just like that
And then a couple days
Go by and ‘Never’ attacks
