"Brother"

He’s got a problem
He doesn’t know when
To stop with the game he plays
He’s done with it, so he says

I can’t trust him
Not trying to be funny
To support his habit
From her purse, he steals money

She doesn’t even like him anymore
She pretends that she does and ignores
The fact that this happens every day
She notices when she doesn’t have enough to pay

She’s caught in a bind
He searches harder to find
Her inner strengths to grab on
And for punishment, she dabs at it to go on

He’s an alcoholic more recently
So his soul is weakening
His life from my point of view is losing
It’s whole depth, it’s whole meaning

He’s proposed never to do drugs again
Why is it he always shows the symptoms
Of someone who uses and abuses
To wonder why is just plain useless

I give it up; it’s his life
Do whatever but don’t bring it by
And make me care
Your promises aren’t fair
Since you don’t plan to keep them
You’ll lie until the end
I don’t plan on forgiving
You for deceiving
Me into believing your lies
I can’t wait for your demise
