"Close Call"
I’ve fallen in the water
Drowned alive, it’s getting darker
Someone turned the light off
I should have at least tried to stop
Last thing I knew, I was
Trying to get my mileage up
So driving real fast was the key
The key in knocking me in and out of reality
Sure it was an accident
You and I both know that
Please tell me life’s around the corner
Like the semi speeding, ironically, to mourn
My lucky day is the day I won’t live again
Cool with me but a little notice could’ve been
A little nice but no one ever knows when
It’s their time to proceed into transition
I get another chance today
I’m back alive to say
Heaven is beautiful
No other place is as suitable
No more singing along
To songs in the car
Especially to a musical
Even though I’ve been through it all
I must say, what a close call
