"Deliverer"
I once saw the world through your eyes
Now I see through all of the lies
Taken aback from the attack of the enemy
Resisting the afflicting pain is strengthening
I’m tired of singing the same song
But I have no right to complain
The deliverer has long since gone
His warmth, his presence still remain
The delivery of hope is here
I gave up all of the stuff I filled my life with
I laid down at the feet of the crown my sins
I must say I’m happier today because I’m loved
I can’t believe I’ve received grace from God above
His hands and feet were pierced
But his strength and power are fierce
Still alive, though having died
He’s put himself in my place
I wonder why all the time
But I hold onto His name
It’s hard in this world not to sin
I ask Him for freedom every day
And He forgives me again
I’m so thankful to be saved
