How you lived on from that point when I saw you, I don’t know
It was your time to go and everyone knew it would be so
Not the same person from the look of it
And your eyes wanted to scream or so I took it
You were lifted from the ground and into Heaven
I wonder what it must have felt like then
To get your wings and become an angel in the sky
To use them for good forever, to fly
While it may bring tears of sorrow to my eyes
When I think of how young you were is why
You were so lively before the cancer overcame you
There you laid in your hospital bed and I knew that soon
I know that you are up there and all I have to do is call
I bet you’re having the best time and all
But do you ever wonder about being on Earth, friend?
Maybe sometime you can visit, until we meet again
