When I asked you about God
You said ya didn’t need religion
But it’s not religion, it’s your thoughts
You know there is a way to stop sinnin’
If only you’d listen, nobody’s perfect
Don’t be so nervous about your purpose
God says you deserve this chance
To understand what He has
Pray to accept Him, not reject Him
He’ll break every way that’s against Him
But that’s only if you let Him
If you only ask
Such a simple task
Open up your mind
Let the sin fall behind

Don’t dwell on the past
Give Him your time
Follow His Light
You’re good in your own mind
What about in God’s eyes?
Do you follow the commandments?
Do you seek His will in all actions?
Have you felt His presence?
Why the need for second-guessing?
Either you will or you won’t
Don’t say ya do if you don’t
Why don’t you try to change?
Ever wonder why it’s all the same?
God doesn’t give quizzes
His number’s unlisted
He’ll call you through your mind
Once He thinks it’s time
God’ll test ya, He’ll rest ya
He’ll fill ya with His spirit
It’s up to you if ya fear it
You wouldn’t understand
It’s none of your business
It’s not such a big demand
To be His witness
