"Night Time Voyage"
Turn the key, unlock the door
Hold the break, go in reverse
Now into drive, remember the lights
This time you’re alone so check out the sights
Driving down twenty-nine
Stop for the traffic light
It’s on red until anger fills my head
But the green is best when seen
Raining down on my windshield
Which makes me feel
More alone but I’m on my own
And that’s the reassuring part
That I’m so far gone from the start
Look at me, Mom, I’m driving
You can just stop thriving
In the excuses of why
I shouldn’t be on the road
But it’s my time to access the vehicle
Not the first time I’ve been in an automobile
So don’t stress, just repress all of your worries
I’ll get out fine, no pain, no surgeries
Driving is the only thing
That seems to makes me happy
The freedom that it brings
Makes me come alive so snappy
