"Swish…and Swill"

Upon looking from the tower, I could see
A very very small town below me
Maybe it was the height but scared was I
I could fall so fast, so soon, so unintentional
I didn’t want to be on the news
Consciousness was what I could lose

I stepped back
The rush was enough

Fall, crawl from the floor
If you make it back up again
So I jumped and went for the door
From this, I gained a friend
And I now know why
People risk their lives
It’s all for the thrill
Swish it around and swill

It wasn’t so great of a feeling
Airplanes flying so close to the railing
Knocking me out and off the catwalk
With the chop of a tomahawk
Faults and fears noted from that point
The ground and my body soon conjoined (in my head)

Within a moment
I looked down and then around

If it weren’t for the falling part
The thrill wouldn’t be so heart-to-heart
The experience never to be told about
If I didn’t do it, I’d live to be shouted (at)
So my conscience came into play
And helped whisk me away

My body could have been crushed
The crash, no splash, just a smash
