And you talk down to me
Do I look like the ground you see?
If you spoke in your normal tone
I would not have to pick this bone
Control your mouth and I won’t stare
I know you’re very well aware
That I don’t like it, I despise it
But I realize that you can’t stop
Still doesn’t mean I will quit
Getting onto you about it
I’m not perfect, I didn’t say that
Just saying I can control my actions
With a passion to please my Lord
Since He’s given me a life worth living for
Let it fall away from your reach
Let it crawl away to further teach
You are better than you think
If you trust and put your love
Into the greatest Shrink
Tell Him what’s on your mind
Though He can so easily see inside
It takes great humility
To take on spiritual reality
Pray for your awakening
Because you’ve been sleeping
Open your eyes and awake
Before it’s way passed late
