"The Right To Cry"
I’m just crying tonight
I’m not trying to fight
Back the tears of the golden years
Oh no, I’m doing it because it’s right
Thinking of you once made me happy
In a broken mirror this could be clearer
Since love couldn’t find his way home
He’s made everyone suffer by being alone
Something tells me the world
Is not this big whirl of excitement
Like I had cited in past text
This time I don’t care what comes next
Did I ever tell you of who I dream of?
Do I have to say it – you already know
Or so I hope, please just take me back
To when I wouldn’t worry about the nuts
In my sack and if they were good enough
Leave me tonight with a broken light
To stare into at night and guide
Myself to bed repeating the things I said
Hoping the truth would set and get…me free
But I’m not worthy to
Count the days before their numbered
Now I surely do
Whatever I want since I have the chance
And I’ll never get it again
But I have the right to cry.
