"Time"

You don’t have enough time
Like I should follow my life
By something so unexplained
Wanna hear my theory? I’ll refrain

Not much left ‘fore I go to bed
So many things that need to be said
Crouched over this notebook with my pen
Staring off into space
Proving that pace means nothing

My theory is…nevermind
You’ll say it’s stupid
And I’m glad because you always find
One way to look at it
Instead of the several I could bring up
But if I spoke up, I’d get shortchanged
For breath, I have the worst luck
Nice to see you again, maybe next go-around
You’ll be happier to see me, maybe you’ll unwind

So people say we die after awhile
And most do, but does anyone know
What happens once the tears begin to dry
And the people who are gone get lost
In the world, the afterlife they crossed into?

Guess I will never know since I have so much
Time ahead of me, and a life uncategorized
That I want to live, but is it bad to be curious?
