"Waiter Boy"

Never thought of this job
Never thought of as a server
Of buttery corn on the cob
Though, not others come in mind first

So I’m going out for the job
Leaving the house, gonna turn the knob
Gonna obtain the place on the list
Hours I’m gonna work more, you insist

Can I get you a plate of the best of me?
Can I give or take a little of your integrity?
Can I recommend a sample of me?
It’s all for college, only a small fee

Waiter boy, you’ll call out and ask
Growing up seemed like a simple task
Didn’t know it was this hard
Guess it’s not as bad as a lifeguard

Food on trays, I slipped and fell
Not like everyone watched, I rebel
Being a waiter is not my pack of smokes
So much stress, not enough time to focus
