In order for us to have an environment conducive to learning, I expect all students to be courteous, to participate actively in class discussions, and to ask questions to clarify concepts.
Cheating will not be tolerated. Any student who cheats on an assignment will receive a grade of 0 and the incident will be referred to the administration for further action. Parents will be called immediately.
The guiding principle in displaying ethical behavior and avoiding cheating is: do not attempt to gain credit for someone else's work or help another student do the same. This applies to homework, quizzes, and tests.
Students are encouraged to work together, to share ideas, and to help each other. However, the ethical line is crossed when students turn in work which is not their own.
No whining, no excuses.
Homework will be assigned daily and checked regularly. Click here to see the latest assignments. It is crucial for you to complete your homework if you expect to be successful in this class.
You may earn partial (1/2) credit on problems missed on tests only. Look at the partial credit policy.
Makeup work is your responsibility and must be done promptly. I will follow County Policy on the time allowed for makeup work.
If you need extra help after school (until 3:45 p.m.), please make arrangements in advance. I am in Room 113, not in the room where we have class.
Your final grade for this course will be determined as follows:
* Mid-term exam grade will be calculated into the 2nd quarter grade.
